On a serious note…what is your opinion?
September 16, 2009 on 2:08 pm | In Christina's Journal |Hello everyone,
My project for tonight is going to be getting everyone’s emails replied to…..
and to get an answer to this question…..
How do fans react to people who cyber squat models names?? Do you go to those sites still, even if you do know it is really not that model’s site?
If someone is just using a models name to make themselves more money…to get traffic…to feel some sense of control over that model…
I personally think it is sick, I have had it done to me…and know a lot of models who have had it done to them….
How do you feel about it? If there is a bit of content of that model on that site….is it all the same to you…do you still buy??
For example…… my site is www.christinabound.com
I have nothing to do with christinacarter.com nor christinacaptured.com… yes, there are old sets of me on there…but now that you know its not me……would you still pay for these sites??? Even though they are people just using me to make money for themselves?
I want honest answers please….
no matter what they are.
To me it falls under the same category as stolen content that people would rather view for free….think about it….if you DON”T pay a little for what you want (maybe $20 a month, that’s not much if you think about it :)…and support the models you love…they soon will not be able to shoot….they will have to get other jobs to make money…you will lose your girls and we will lose the job that we love.
I know I lot of models that have lately picked up side jobs, I know it is the economy too…but next time you go on one of those free sites that steals content or gives out passwords…think about your favorite fetish model….keep her around..support them, please.
love christina

I was a member of christinacaptured.com a couple times - never even realized it wasn’t your site! You raise a good question - I think I would NOT join a site if I knew it wasn’t the model’s and was just using her work to skim some easy $. But as in the christinacaptured.com case, it is not always easy to tell who owns/manages the site. It reminds me of something that happened a year ago. There was a model at a bondage site about 3 years ago who I really liked. I contacted the producer about getting a custom video made. He told me apologetically it would be $500 for a 45 min video. He explained that the model would get $400 for 2 hrs work to produce a polished 45 minutes, and he was just charging $100 for his time to shoot, edit, produce, etc. So I paid that. The video was great, the model really put some effort into it. Well, she moved on to other sites and I got in touch with her and she made some more vids for me. When we got to talking about rates, she now had her own videographer buddy and was charing $100 for 20 minute videos. I asked her why she would reduce her costs so much, especially since she’d actually become better known and in more demand. She was surprised by this, and we ended up trading a few emails on the topic. It turned out she had been paid, get this….$100 for that video that I was charged $500 for. So the producer pocketed $400. Ridiculous! The fetish video market seems to bring out these producer leeches who feed off customers’ dollars and models’ work (and their need to get more work), leaving both customers and models with not much for their money and effort.
